WE PROUDLY OFFER
Core Program – This is the backbone of AYSO. In addition to practices run by certified coaches, we offer 10 weeks of soccer games all played at Pelona Vista Park. Our core program has divisions from Under 6 – Under 19 for both boys and girls.
EXTRA Program – AYSO EXTRA offers soccer players the opportunity to play at the highest level that fits their ambition, skill and ability. The program is a new addition to AYSO’s vast menu offering a competitive level of play without the high cost of club soccer.
Very Important Players (VIP) - Quality soccer experience for children whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate in mainstream teams.
Shamrock Showdown Tournament – Our annual tournament held in March. Tournament teams from all over California and outlying states participate in competitive games held over the course of two days.
U5 Jamboree – A unique pressure-free program designed for children 4 years of age. Participants enrolled in this program are introduced to the game of soccer through fun activities and games that are instructional yet engaging. Taught by certified advanced coaches.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our goal is to facilitate a quality youth soccer program in a fair, fun and safe environment, where young people are given every opportunity to develop a healthy self-image, foster self-confidence and positive character, through their interest and participation in the best soccer experience AYSO Region 393 is able to provide.
AYSO Region 393 embraces the following basic AYSO philosophies in the creation, organization and operation of our program.
EVERYONE PLAYS -Our program’s goal is for kids to play soccer so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.
BALANCED TEAMS-Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
OPEN REGISTRATION -Our program is open to all children between 5 and 18 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.
POSITIVE COACHING -Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP- We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all costs attitude. Our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT-We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
Sincerely,
David Tapia
